Our story

TbilisiWelcome was founded in Tbilisi in 2017 with a simple idea: travellers deserve to experience Georgia through people who actually live here. Too many visitors were arriving through generic operators far away, with rushed itineraries, unreliable drivers and trips designed for volume rather than quality.

We started with a handful of private day tours, a strong commitment to punctuality and the promise to treat every guest as an individual. Word spread. Today we plan everything from a private day in Kazbegi to multi-day packages, airport transfers, destination weddings and group programs for up to 300 guests — always private, always run by our own local team.

We are not a booking platform and not a call centre thousands of kilometres away. We are a local Georgia travel company, based in Tbilisi and on the ground every day.

A very special thank you to our driver, Rezo. Although he doesn’t speak English, language was never a barrier. His kindness, warm smile, and thoughtful gestures spoke louder than words. He was incredibly patient with our family, especially with our 10 month old son, always making sure we were comfortable. He was punctual every single day, and even on the few occasions when we kept him waiting for almost 30 minutes, he greeted us with the same smile and understanding. His professionalism, patience, and genuine care made every journey enjoyable.

For our cultural sightseeing days, we were accompanied by our tour guide, Eka, and she was simply outstanding. She speaks excellent English and has an impressive knowledge of Georgia’s history, culture, traditions, and local life. Every place we visited became so much more meaningful because of her stories and explanations. Beyond her knowledge, Eka has such a warm and caring personality that we genuinely felt like she was part of our family rather than just our tour guide. She was wonderful with our children, always patient, engaging, and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Her passion for her country is truly inspiring, and she made us fall even more in love with Georgia.

Thank you to the entire team for creating such unforgettable memories for our family. Your professionalism, kindness, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality exceeded all of our expectations. The coordinator was very kind and responsive, and helped us arrange the schedule smoothly according to the places we wanted to visit. Communication was easy and comfortable from the beginning, and every question was answered quickly.

Our driver was also excellent. He drove very smoothly and safely, and the music he chose during the drive made the trip even more enjoyable. We also really appreciated that he recommended several places during the tour. Some of the spontaneous stops were not in our original plan, but they turned out to be some of the best parts of the day.
