Why Indian Travellers Choose Georgia

Georgia has quietly become one of the favourite destinations for Indian travellers — and for good reason. It is visa-friendly, affordable, safe for families and solo travellers, just a short flight away, and offers snow mountains, green valleys, vineyards and old towns in a single trip. Whether it is a honeymoon, a family holiday or a group tour, Georgia delivers a 'foreign trip' feeling without a long-haul flight or a heavy budget.

Indian, Vegetarian, Jain & Halal Food in Georgia

We know that food can make or break a trip. Tbilisi and the main tourist regions have Indian restaurants, and we plan your meals around your needs — pure vegetarian, Jain, or halal. Our team arranges restaurants and menus in advance so you never have to worry about what you can eat. Georgian cuisine itself is also very vegetarian-friendly, with many cheese, bread, bean and vegetable dishes.

Visa & Flights for Indian Travellers

Flights: Tbilisi (TBS) connects to major Indian cities — Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and others — through Gulf hubs such as Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Doha. Many travellers from the UAE and Saudi Arabia (including the large Indian community there) also fly to Georgia in just a few hours.

Visa: Indian passport holders usually need a Georgia e-visa, which is quick and fully online. However, if you hold a valid Schengen, US, UK, Canada, Australia or Japan visa or residence permit, you can enter Georgia visa-free for up to 90 days. The same applies if you hold a multiple-entry visa or residence permit from a GCC country (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain or Oman) that is valid for at least one year on the day you enter Georgia — ideal for the many Indian travellers living in the Gulf. Rules can change, so just message us on WhatsApp and we'll confirm the exact requirement for your situation before you book.

Travel insurance: Since January 2026, all visitors to Georgia must carry valid health and accident travel insurance. We can advise you on this when planning your trip.
